Welcome back to school and Happy New Years!
We are starting off our year strong with attending a regional drill competition in Austin Texas. Only 2 schools from Colorado attended including our very own Lady Lancers. More than 20 teams participated and it was quite a good setting to experience. Congratulations, keep on working hard.

As you may of already been told, we have the #1 team in the city when it comes to shooting as well as the top shooters in the city which include all our varsity team members. This year, just as we have in the past, we may very well qualify for nationals that is although if both the team wants to and continues to put in the extreme amount of effort and dedication and completion as the have this whole shooting season. To some surprising news however, we have a new shooting team for not sporter shooting but precision shooting. We will start to compete in that season as well this year and with the team we have built we are sure to have an interesting season. Good luck and congratulation to those cadets. For more information visit our JROTC instructor MSG Beasley.

As you may know, every year we help out our community in a certain way. Although we have not started any community volunteering project, we will soon. With that being said to start, we would greatly appreciate it if you would bring a can or two of canned food so that we can donate just as a start though. You may not think one can can do much but as a community, we can help families in need.

I would like to congratulate our cadets for their tremendous efforts both in and out of the Raider competitions. We are astonished by your accomplishments as well as by your dedication and motivation to keep on working harder. Congratulations on 2nd place and even though it isn't 1st, it certainly is a challenging position to place in. We all know you can take 1st so give it your all just as you always have.

We greatly appreciate the amount of effort and dedication that the cadets who volunteer and the Rock and Roll running Marathon put into showing up and doing their assigned work. It takes extreme dedication to show up on a saturday just for a volunteer service and also to provide these competitors with the necessary supplies to engage well in the run. Thank you for showing the Denver community what a great program we have here in the 7th Battalion.
